I created a 10ft x 45ft mural through the San Francisco Arts Commission’s StreetSmARTS program. The owner of the property requested a sweeping landscape that celebrated the diversity of the community in the Portola neighborhood.

The landscape consists of medicinal plants from the countries of origin of the populace according to the 2010 census. The various plants ranging from maguey, prickly pear, jujube, lotus and others are compiled in a fantastical horizon scattered from mountains through desert, to tropical leafy terrains.

I was one of five artists picked to create a panel for the Excelsior Library Beautification Project . The Excelsior Library - Outdoor Art Gallery was guided by the theme, Greening the Library through Art. The panel, Granite Dome was inspired by the stunning natural environment found within the State of California’s National parks and was the final pick by the community from the proposals presented.
